   ERUDITION.NET's goal is double pronged. Firstly, our ultimate goal is for the education and enlightenment of the masses. We support any efforts that aim towards a well-rounded education of the mind. We espouse a philosophy based on Logic and Reason, but also support religions and philosophies founded on an emotive base for their teachings, and allow the individual, once informed of all things, to make the ultimate decision.

    Secondly, recognizing the internet as a powerful medium through which information of the world can be spread, our goal is to furnish access to it. This we accomplish through our various internet services, such as UNIX Shell Accounts, DNS Services, and Domain Name Parking.

    For those that plan on playing an integral part in the future of the Information and Computing Systems of this world, our shell accounts aid users to hone their abilities in both the use of UNIX - one of the most powerful classes of OSs available - and programming through access to standard C/C++ and Perl compilers, plus numerous other languages such as BASIC and Scheme.

    We are able to provide our services through 3 FreeBSD servers linked to the net on a 24/7 dedicated SDSL circuit. Our website is powered by Apache Webserver. The shell server is a K6-2 300 with 64M of RAM, 6.4G HD, running FreeBSD 3.3-STABLE. The web server is a K6-2 300 with 64M of RAM, 6.4G HD, running FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE and Apache 1.3.9.
